It is the responsibility of the College Park Police Department's Uniform Patrol Division to respond to all calls for police service within the city limits of College Park which consists of both Fulton and Clayton Counties. With more than sixty-five percent of all sworn officers in the department assigned to the 'Uniform Division', it is by far the largest and most visible component of the Police Department. Officers of the 'Uniform Division' work in one of 4 zones within the city and responds to over 50,000 calls for service per year generating nearly 30,000 reports. When not responding to calls for service, officers of the Uniform Patrol Division aggressively enforce the laws of the State of Georgia along with the city ordinance violations and patrol their zones to ensure the safety of the citizens in the city.

Due to the high volume of emergency 911 calls received by the city, some non-priority reports may be handled by the department station officer located in the lobby of the police department. Officers are assigned at the public safety building, located at 3717 College St., to handle telephone reporting, power outages, walk in reports, vehicle releases, yard sale permits, etc. The station office has an officer present 24/7 to ensure the best service for the city. If you are in need of emergency police assistance, call '911'. If you need police assistance, but it is not an emergency, call 404-761-3131 x2100. If your situation can be handled by telephone, the extension dialed will be the station officer on duty.
