College Park Police Training

 

The College Park Police Department is in the process of putting together an elite team of instructors that will cover a broad range of topics in law enforcement training.

Training Guidelines

Officers attending a training course must submit a College Park Police training request approved by a supervisor. Seats will be reserved for College Park Police Officers first and then open to surrounding agencies to help fill in empty seats.

 

State Training Requirements

Every law enforcement officer must obtain a minimum of 20 hours training each year. Officers must attend a Use of Force lecture each year also to maintain their arrest powers. It is the responsibility of the officer to obtain these training hours prior to the years end.
