Telephone Reassurance Program for Senior and Homebound Citizens |
|
|
The Telephone Reassurance Program is a
computerized system designed to call you once a day and ask, "ARE YOU
O.K.? (R.U.O.K.)" Here is how it works! A computer will make calls to subscribers at
approximately the same time each day. When answered, a recorded voice will
let the senior or homebound person know that this is their daily call. If
the subscriber is okay, he/she simply hangs up the telephone. There will be no charge of any kind for this service. To qualify, the subscriber must be: (1) 60 years of age or older and lives alone. For further information, interested parties should call the College Park Police Department at (404) 761-3131.
