Traffic / Motor Units

The Traffic Unit consists of the Special Services Lieutenant and Sergeant and two motorcycle officers. The Traffic Unit is tasked with the enforcement of traffic laws, the response to traffic accidents that include serious or fatal motor vehicle crashes, and the creation and implementation of proactive traffic enforcement initiatives and safety programs. The traffic division also handles and investigates the departments hit and run accidents.
